The Community Health Network of North Central Mass (CHNA9) and their transportation subcommittee has recently conducted a transportation needs survey for the Montachusett Region that focused on four major categories – Workforce, Medical, Higher Education and Elderly/Disabled populations. The paid intent on these surveys will gather data on the transportation needs of people getting to work, doctors appointments, school and how the elderly/disabled populations get to where they need to go. Is more public transit needed? Perhaps rideshare/Uber options? Sidewalks or bikeways? Etc.
We have gathered most of the surveys and have approximately 1400 of them to go through. Our hope is to have an intern (or two) assist with the analysis of all this data. We need someone with good analytical skills that can study the trends, needs, service gaps, key destinations, etc. We do have some funding to help compensate.
