Intern – Planning

This is a business critical role for site operations that will allow the candidate to build their business acumen, develop strong operational alignment to the manufacturing network and initiatives, aid in developing their ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities on a daily basis with minimal guidance, and the opportunity to develop excellent communication skills to all internal stakeholders, senior leadership and suppliers.

Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b(a)(3).

Run the business activities (administrative)
Initiate shipping process and follow order through to completion
Generate documentation for manufacturing orders
Follow up with credit department to maintain accurate list of on hold customers
Generate, analyze, and distribute reports to support planning group
Monitor and report on manufacturing issues and their impact on customer deliveries
Floor stock project – Convert the manual ordering process for manufacturing floor stock to a system that uses SAP to generate purchase order requests based on inventory trigger points
Generate/Document/Maintain a Leominster dashboard showing performance across manufacturing, shipping, inventory, and sales
Automate the generation of plant metrics reports
Research improving the notification process for credit holds and releases
Research if SAP can auto generate emails to notify when shipments are stuckRecalculate appropriate SS stock levels and propose new values

Strong experience with Excel
Willingness to learn and grow
